We usually publish technical guides. This post is simpler: a real customer, a stubborn clogging problem, and the WhatsApp messages that followed. We’re not naming the customer or their company for privacy reasons — the quotes below are exactly as written.
The problem: i3200 heads that kept clogging
The customer prints corrugated cartons on a Saitu single-pass printer fitted with Epson i3200 printheads, running water-based pigment ink. When we asked whether the head was clogged or just due for routine maintenance, the answer was blunt:
“Yes it gets clogged many times.”

If you run pigment ink, you know this pattern. Pigment doesn’t dissolve — it’s solid particles that settle and stick inside the head’s narrow channels. The printer’s own cleaning cycle clears some of it, the head prints for a while, then blocks again. And on a carton line, every clog means downtime, wasted ink and spoiled boxes.
The trial: just 3 bottles

The customer didn’t want a big first order from a new supplier. Fair enough — our MOQ is 1 bottle, so they took 3 bottles for trial. We issued the PI, shipped by FedEx, and sent the SGS-issued MSDS along with it, so their team had the safety documentation before opening a single bottle.

A few days after the package was signed for, we followed up to ask how the test went. The entire review:

Two lines — and a jump from a 3-bottle trial to a 10-bottle production order, more than 3× the trial quantity. Nobody reorders a fluid they don’t trust inside an expensive printhead. To us, that reorder says more than any spec sheet.
