Types of Printhead Cleaning Fluid
According to the type of inkjet ink, it can be divided into water-based printhead cleaning fluid and oil-based printhead cleaning fluid. The water-based type is further subdivided into dye cleaning fluid, pigment cleaning fluid, and paint cleaning fluid; the oil-based type is divided into solvent cleaning fluid, eco-solvent cleaning fluid, and UV cleaning fluid.
According to the appearance of the cleaning fluid, it can be divided into transparent cleaning fluid and colored cleaning fluid. Most printhead cleaning fluids on the market are transparent liquids, and a small number of them are colored and are called colored cleaning fluids.
Printhead Cleaning Fluid Ingredients
Generally, print head cleaning fluid is composed of solvents and surfactants. Some also add a little dye to make the cleaning fluid color. The main cleaning performance is determined by the solvents. Whether the solvent component of the cleaning fluid has strong solubility determines the effectiveness of the cleaning fluid. Some cleaning fluids have a good dissolving effect and can dissolve impurities such as particles clogged in the nozzles. Some cleaning fluids have a poor dissolving effect, and cleaning the printhead has the same effect as cleaning it with pure water.
Use of Printhead Cleaning Fluid
1. Different ink types use different cleaning fluids. They cannot be mixed without confirming that they can be used universally to avoid the reaction between the cleaning fluid and the ink, which will lead to more serious clogging.
2. Generally, simply put the cleaning fluid into the ink cartridge and then perform the printer cleaning function. If the nozzle test strip still does not improve much, you can let the cleaning liquid soak in the printhead for about 10 minutes before executing the cleaning function of the machine. In this way, the cleaning liquid soaks and dissolves impurities in the printhead, which significantly improves the cleaning effect.
3. If the print nozzle detection test strip effect is still not improved after soaking the printhead with cleaning fluid, you need to use a syringe to fill half of the cleaning fluid, connect the printhead ink column with a hose, and gently squeeze the cleaning fluid inside. Here is a reminder to everyone. It is necessary to control the strength and avoid using too much force to penetrate the printhead. Otherwise, the gain will outweigh the loss. Use the syringe to squeeze the cleaning liquid bubble into the ink column for about 5 minutes, and then use the syringe to suck it back. After repeated operations several times, the clogging of the printhead will generally be significantly improved.
