Epson today launched the S3200-S1, a new, strong-solvent-compatible inkjet printhead designed for industrial mass production applications. This new printhead is the latest addition to Epson's PrecisionCore printhead series. It offers strong solvent compatibility, wide print widths, and high resolution. This will further accelerate the adoption of inkjet technology in advanced fields such as perovskite solar cell manufacturing.
Key Features of the New Epson S3200-S1 Printhead
The S3200-S1 is compatible with a wide range of strong solvents, including NMP, DMSO, DMF, and DMI, making it ideal for advanced applications such as forming multi-layer functional layers in perovskite solar cells.
The S3200-S1 has a print width of 4.73 inches. This is significantly wider than the 1.33-inch print width of Epson's current strong-solvent-compatible S800-S1. This wider print width reduces the number of printheads required and simplifies equipment configuration.
The S3200-S1 features 600 dpi high-resolution printing, delivering extremely uniform film thickness and ensuring consistent quality.
Existing strong solvent-compatible printheads, such as the S800-S1 and I3200-S1HD, are already used by numerous companies in the industrial sector. The S800-S1 is already being used in industrial applications such as perovskite solar cells. The new wide-format S3200-S1 will further accelerate the development of mass production equipment for customers.
