Epson has launched three new Epson inkjet printhead series that enhance and expand UV ink compatibility to meet the growing digital printing market in commercial and industrial fields.
The demand for digital printing is growing in the commercial and industrial fields, and with it, the diversification of customer applications and needs. The new products use Epson's proprietary PrecisionCore technology to achieve printing with both high image quality and high productivity.
Epson Inkjet Printhead: "S3200-U1-2" and "S3200-U3-2"
Since their release in 2019, the "S3200-U1-2" and "S3200-U3-2" have inherited the functions and inkjet performance of their predecessors, the "S3200-U1" and "S3200-U3," which have been installed in many printers mainly used for printing on labels and packages using UV inks. However, by strengthening the print head structure, they are compatible with a wide range of UV inks, and reliability and durability have also been improved. Stable print quality can be achieved even over long periods of use, allowing for safe use in a wider range of commercial and industrial printing.
Printer manufacturers using the conventional "S3200-U1" and "S3200-U3" print heads can easily upgrade their printers by replacing them with next-generation print heads with the same jetting performance.
Epson Inkjet Printhead: "D3000-U1R"
Following the launch of the model "D3000-A1R," supporting aqueous ink in 2022, we will launch a new print head, "D3000-U1R," supporting UV ink.
The D3000-U1R is mainly aimed at the commercial printing and label/package printing markets and realizes high-definition image expression by achieving high-quality printing at up to 1200 dpi. The ink circulation mechanism near the nozzle can evenly control the ink temperature and achieve stable printing by preventing the ink from drying and settling in the nozzle area. It is also capable of printing with a variety of inks, including fast-drying inks. It also helps reduce maintenance, such as printhead cleaning.
Printer manufacturers who already use the D3000-A1R can expand their printer product lines without making major changes to their device configurations.
Epson is further strengthening its PrecisionCore printhead series product line to provide printheads that are more suitable for various needs. This will help the development of digital printing in the commercial and industrial printing markets.
