How Does the Ink Supply System of an Inkjet Printer Work?
1. The working principle of the pump assembly
Under the driving force of the paper feed motor or the ink pump motor, the pump assembly rotates the booster pulley, and the drive roller attached to the pulley starts to squeeze the ink tube. As the ink tube is squeezed by the drive roller, its volume changes, forming just after the drive roller – a vacuum area that allows ink to enter the ink tube. At the same time, the pressure generated in front of the drive roller pushes the ink forward. Whether the ink is sucked or not depends on the rotation direction of the pulley, by switching the rotation direction of the pump motor, the ink suction operation can be switched between the color print head pump attachment! and the black print head pump attachment. 2. The working principle of the ink system
The ink system controls the entire working process of the ink supply system of the jet printer. It depends on the combination of the basic functions of the multi-type system, and also on the information transmitted by various types of timers, counters, signs, and sensors. Choose a more suitable one. The ink operating system protects the print head and ink supply system.
When the carriage moves from left to right, the surface of the print head comes into contact with the left blade of the cleaner blade integrated into the pump assembly and generates friction to remove the hardened strong viscous ink and other impurities attached to the surface of the print head and restore the print head to the normal inkjet state to ensure the tightness with the pump attachment.
When the carriage moves from right to left, the surface of the print head comes into contact with the right blade of the cleaner blade integrated into the pump assembly and generates friction to remove all ink stains and dust attached to the surface of the print head and restore the print head normal inkjet state to ensure that the pump attachment fits snugly on the printhead.
(3) Main ink absorption
The pump assembly operates according to the specified number of revolutions. At this time, the print head table is covered by the sealing cap, the air valve is closed, and the ink is sucked out from the print head ink chamber and the ink tank.
(4) Open ink absorption
The pump assembly operates at the specified number of revolutions, the print head surface is covered by the sealing cap, and the air valve is opened, aspirate and dispose of ink from the pump attachment to remove accumulated ink from the pump attachment.
(5) Absorb a small amount of ink
The pump assembly operates according to the specified number of revolutions, the surface of the print head is covered by the sealing cap, the air valve is closed, and a small amount of ink is sucked from the ink chamber of the print head to remove the extremely small air bubbles generated in the ink chamber of the print head.
Move the carriage assembly to the flushing position, and drive the print head to eject a certain amount of ink to prevent the ink viscosity in the nozzle from increasing.
(7) Instantaneous stimulation
In order to prevent the viscosity of the ink in the nozzle from increasing, a driving voltage and a pulse waveform are applied to the micro piezoelectric device to generate instantaneous oscillation, so that the ink in the ink chamber of the print head oscillates accordingly. The sucked ink is either sent into the ink chamber of the print head for printing or is used to deal with all the ink that has increased in viscosity in the nozzles of the print head and all the air bubbles inside the print head.
UV flatbed printer ink pump: is the heart of the entire ink supply system, mainly used to deliver ink to the secondary ink tank. Model JH-30, 24v Dc direct current, suitable for UV ink. The power of this accessory is only 7w, and the specific flow is 300ml-400ml per minute. There are also other models with a flow rate of 100ml-200ml or 200ml-300ml and so on.
Because it is dedicated to UV ink, it has high corrosion resistance. In the process of selecting an ink pump, do not choose an ink pump that is not dedicated to UV. During the use of the ink pump, the low voltage of 24v is used to ensure the long service life of the ink pump.
The flow value per minute of the ink pump is not as high as possible, nor as low as possible. The key is to look at the type and corresponding number of printheads matched with the equipment itself. If the flow rate is lower than the required amount of ink, thread breakage, and needle breakage will occur during the printing process. If the flow value is higher than the required amount of ink, there will be ink dripping, ink overflow, etc. during the printing process.
Ink pump maintenance: In the process of daily use, the ink pump does not need to be cleaned every day. The frequency of once week is to wipe the ink marks and stains on the surface with a non-woven fabric dipped in alcohol.
