Understand the Working Principle of the Ink Supply System of the Inkjet Printer

1. Working principle of the pump assembly

The pump assembly rotates the pressure pulley under the driving force of the paper feeding motor or the pump ink motor, and then the driving roller attached to the pulley begins to squeeze the ink pipe. When the cartridge is squeezed by the drive roller, its volume changes, forming just after the drive roller- -a vacuum area that brings the ink into the cartridge. At the same time, the pressure generated in front of the drive roller sends the ink forward. Whether the ink is inhaled depends on the rotation direction of the pulley, and by switching the rotation direction of the pump motor, the ink suction operation can be switched between the color print head pump attachment and the black print head pump attachment.

2. The working principle of the cleaner

The print head cleaner is located on the pump attachment, so the action of the cleaner is closely related to the action of the pump. The print head cleaner may be set or released depending on the direction of rotation of the pump-driven motor.

If the pump drive motor rotates to produce a suction operation, the word truck will move to the position of the pump attachment. When the pump accessories are attached to the nozzle substrate under the control of the pump ink motor, the print head cleaner will clean the print head and nozzle, as shown in the figure below.

The pump ink motor rotates in the opposite direction, and the print head cleaner leaves the print head and nozzle with the pump accessories, and ends the cleaning process, as shown in the figure below.

3. The working principle of the ink system

The ink system controls the whole working process of the ink jet printer ink supply system. It relies on the combination of basic functions of the multitype system and also depends on the information transmitted by various types of timers, counters, signs, and sensors, from which a more suitable ink operating system is selected to protect the print head and the ink supply system.

(1) Friction

When the trolley moves from left to right, the print head surface contacts the cleaner scraper left blade integrated into the pump assembly and causes friction, removing the strong sticky ink and other impurities hardened on the print head surface, and restoring the print head to the normal inkjet state to ensure close engagement with the pump accessories.

(2) scrape

When the car moves from right to left, the surface of the print head contacts the right blade of the cleaner scraper integrated into the pump assembly and causes friction, removing all ink stains and dust attached to the head surface of the print head, and restore the normal inkjet state of the print head to ensure that the pump accessories can fit close to the print head.

(3) Main ink absorption

The pump assembly operates at the specified number of revolutions when the print head table is covered by a sealed cap, the air valve is closed, and the ink is sucked from the print head ink chamber and ink cartridge. The ink is sucked either to be sent into the print head ink chamber for printing or to handle all the ink with the increased viscosity in the print head nozzle and all the bubbles inside the print head.

(4) Open the suction ink

The pump assembly operates at the specified number of revolutions, the print head surface is covered by a seal cap, and the air valve is opened to remove the ink from the pump attachment to remove the ink accumulated in the pump attachment.

(5) Absorb a small amount of ink

The pump assembly operates according to the specified number of revolutions, the print head surface is covered by a sealed cap and the air valve is closed to remove trace ink from the ink chamber to remove the particularly small bubbles generated in the ink chamber.

(6) Rinse

Move the trolley assembly to the flushing position, and spray a certain amount of ink through the drive print head to prevent the viscosity of the ink in the nozzle from increasing.

(7) Instant stimulation

To prevent the increase of the viscosity of the ink in the nozzle from increasing, by applying a drive voltage and pulse waveform to the micro piezoelectric device, so that the ink in the printing head ink cavity can oscillate accordingly.
